Sara and Antonio who run the retreat are so amazing and they are the backbone of the healing. I had no bad experiences or energies throughout my time. You will be guided through all of the experiences by experienced professional healers. You will be taught about all the medicines before you take them so you understand. Which really made for a peaceful experience. I believe I was the only one on the resort grounds that was staying over night as a guest. All of my experiences were solo except the temezcal but people enjoy day visits for the temezcal. My time here was very very private and 1 on 1 which I felt very grateful for because I felt like I really received the genuine help I needed from everyone here. I did the very extensive 1 week healing retreat which included 1x Bufo ceremony, 1x Kambo ceremony and 1x Ayahuasca ceremony and 1x temezcal ceremony, but they very generously shared their Rapé medicine with me which I thoroughly enjoyed. I am very gracious to Sara and Antonio and all the healers that helped me in my journey. So to narrow it down, this place healed a lot of trauma I’ve had. "I can go in depth into the experience I had here but everyone’s experience will be different. I am forever grateful for the healing and inspiration I found at the Iboga retreat. Thank you, Elizabeth and Chor, for your dedication to the Bwiti tradition and for creating a safe and transformative space. I feel inspired to continue on my journey of self-discovery and healing, knowing that I have the tools and support to navigate through any challenges that may arise. And hope is what we really need to heal, hope and our faith that we can actually heal and get better. I feel some of the burdens of my trauma lifted, and I feel more hopeful that I can change. Yes, Iboga can be challenging, but its worth it. I wasn’t sure how much I would like Iboga, but I am already looking forward to doing another retreat with them. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for this experience. She helped me process deep seeded fear and grief, and I’ve felt lighter and more hopeful ever since. I came to Soul Centro to unburden myself from very challenging and hard to heal trauma, and Elizabeth was there with me every step of the way. Her compassion and genuine love for helping people is what sets her apart as one of the most safe and supportive healers I’ve ever met. I spent most of my time with Elizabeth, who is a Bwiti angel, and a true embodiment of divine love. I had some challenging experiences on the medicine, but I don’t think I could have dropped into those hard places if I hadn’t felt so safe and held by the team. Everyone at Soul Centro helped to create a nurturing environment, and it was obvious that everyone cared deeply about each and every participant. I felt truly safe and supported throughout the entire retreat. I’m really glad I choose Soul Centro to work with Iboga because I felt like they are the real deal: no bullshit, no White-washing, just authentic Bwiti tradition paired with an abundance of nurturing support and compassion. As a person of color, I appreciated that Chor has African ancestry and Bwiti spirit in him. I really felt Chor’s love and devotion in all of the rituals and ceremonies that amounted to a beautiful and blessed retreat. I was blown away by the beautiful flower arrangements that he created for the spiritual shower. Chor’s dedication to the Bwiti tradition was evident in his meticulous devotion to honoring their ceremonial rituals, like the spiritual shower ceremony where participants wash away the past that no longer serves us. Their knowledge and understanding of the tradition is evident in every aspect, from the ceremonies to the guidance they provided about working with Iboga. Each staff member carries a genuine passion to be of service to others and to help people heal.Įlizabeth and Chor honor the sacredness of Iboga and the Bwiti tribe in a way that feels deeply respectful and sacred of Iboga’s origins. There are a handful of retreat centers in Costa Rica that offer Iboga, but what sets Soul Centro apart is their dedication to honoring the tradition and legacy of serving Iboga from the Bwiti tribe in Gabon, and the authenticity of the kindness, compassion, and care from the Soul Centro team. It was a transformative journey that helped me heal in ways I never thought possible. "I am incredibly grateful and blessed to have experienced Iboga with the team at Soul Centro.
